Founded in 1552, King Edward’s School, Bath has held a special place in this wonderful city for well over four and a half centuries and is now firmly established as one of the leading schools in the south-west of England.

Through its Prep School and Senior School, Kingswood teaches children from the age of nine months to 18 years, with an aim of encouraging an enthusiasm for learning and a spirit of enquiry.

Driven by a goal of providing an excellent all-round education, Kingswood offers a broad range of co-curricular opportunities, which celebrate both cultural and sporting achievement.

An independent college and language school, the Bath Academy offers courses from GCSE level to university foundation programmes, plus a Pre-Masters provision. A personal approach is taken, with an aim to create an encouraging atmosphere. Bath Academy’s ambition is for students to leave with the academic skills and confidence to enjoy and succeed at university and beyond.

Part of the Girls’ Day School Trust, Bath’s Royal High School provides education for girls aged 3-18 years, aiming to help pupils grow in self-confidence as they uncover their talents and pursue their passions. The school has a long history of specialising in girls’ education and prides itself on a reputation as a kind, supportive and academically excellent choice.

In 2020, the school opened its new state-of-the-art Steinway Music School, including a large recital room and professional standard recording studio.

A comprehensive school for boys, Beechen Cliff is less than two miles away from Holburne Park and aims to encourage pupils to grow and mature at their own pace, embracing learning styles specific to boys.

With an intake spanning from ages 3 to 11 years, The Paragon School is the sister school of Prior Park College, which educates children onwards through to sixth form level.
